    Rook

    Bishop

    Catapult

    Catapult

Moves one square in any direction. Attacks enemy pieces exactly four squares away in a giant square shape. It can jump over other pieces.

    Knight

    Knight

Moves in an L shape: two squares one way and one square sideways. It can jump over other pieces.

    Pawn

    Pawn

Moves forward one square, or two squares from its starting position if both squares are clear. Captures one square diagonally forward. Promotes on the far side of the board. En passant capture does not exist in this realm.
